THE AIM OF THE STUDENT COUNCIL IS TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE STUDENTS AND STAFF OF GARDNER GRADE SCHOOL FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WHOLE COMMUNITY. GGS STUDENT COUNCIL SEEKS TO BUILD A RELATIONSHIP BASED ON MUTUAL RESPECT WITH ALL IN THE SCHOOL. WE HOPE TO CREATE AND MAINTAIN AN ENVIRONMENT CONDUCTIVE TO EDUCATIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. AS PART OF THIS PROCESS, STUDENT COUNCIL SEEKS TO PROVIDE A LINE OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STUDENTS, STAFF, & PARENTS.

The entire junior high participated in the contest. These three individuals wrote strong, persuasive essays telling others why to SAY NO to drugs! Miss Bexson was extremely impressed with the hard work they put into their essays. Great job!

Food-A-Palooza Food Drive takes place November 1-15. GGS and SWGS Student Council will be competing against each other to have the most Thanksgiving dinners to distribute to community members in need. We're asking for the following canned/instant items:
Gravy, cranberries, carrots, potatoes, yams, peas, green beans, corn, baking mixes, fried onions, stuffing, etc. We are also accepting cash/gift card donations for turkeys.
Meetings are held in Miss Bexson's room from 3:00-3:15.
